I am still working on part 4 of my journal so in the meantime, here is the update of the music I was listening to throughout the month of July.
I will start off with the stats update, like I've said previously, for context...
As predicted, the total songs played and the total play count did step back quite a bit compared to June but I was expecting that as I had two whole weeks where I didn't listen to my iPod at any point. I was a bit distracted being on holiday and all that. It did mean that the average play count was perhaps a little skewed as there was less to draw an average from and because the Top 20 accounted for more of the total plays.
Now on to the Top 20 songs. The chart very much reflects my post holiday listening in that I purchased the soundtrack to 'La La Land' when I got back to the UK (I watched it on the outbound journey) and have listened to it quite a lot! 8 of the Top 20 tracks come from the soundtrack and the opening song from the movie 'Another Day of Sun' takes the spot as highest new entry coming in at number 1.
The highest re-entry came from Take That. 'SOS' was my favourite on the Progress album, which in turn is probably my favourite of their albums. I love that electronic pop mix.
Because the chart is quite dominated by 'La La Land' and quite a few re-entries, there really isn't much else I can say as the chart kinda speaks for itself...
